What I’m imagining…
Hiking in the Khangai Mountains
Remote trails through open steppe and mountain valleys. No crowds, no tourist infrastructure, just landscape that goes on forever.
Meet the eagle hunters
The Kazakh eagle hunters of western Mongolia are one of the most extraordinary human traditions still practised anywhere on earth.
Meet nomadic families
These aren't staged cultural encounters. These are people living their lives, generously sharing their world with curious women who came a long way to understand it.
Stay in gers with nomadic families
Sleep in traditional felt tents with families who still live this way by choice. Share food, share fire, share an entirely different relationship with home.
Horses
Mongolian horses are small and sturdy and completely unimpressed by you. Ride through grassland on one to understand this landscape.
Optional add-ons
Mongolia is a long way from anywhere. I'm thinking a pre or post stop in Japan or South Korea makes the journey feel worthwhile at both ends. Also considering a wild horse conservation volunteer experience.
The shape of the trip
When: Late June/ early July or late August/ early Sept. 2027 or 2028
Duration: 2 weeks minimum (Longer with add-ons)
Group: 8 to 12 women (Solo travellers very welcome)
Style: Comfortable, not luxury - a genuine adventure without unnecessary hardship.
Fitness: Active, not athletic - some longer days on foot and in the saddle.

This is the kind of trip I design from the inside out. Adventure, culture, local people, women creating something together. Those come first. The destination shapes around them. What I'm really building is the conditions for you to come home more expansive than when you left.
